introduction
As an accountant, you wonder why CODA files for certain accounts are not coming through, even if no error message appears on OkiOki. This article explains the possible causes and offers solutions.
Context
OkiOki generates CODA files based on the data we get from the bank, via the PSD2 API that OkiOki has access to. This source of data is different from that used by other players (e.g. CODABOX) in the market.
This means that to generate the CODA files, OkiOki starts from the data we receive based on the synchronisation information we get from an account. And where there is a start and end balance given with each synchronisation, with or without intermediate transactions. This is so for the ‘first’ synchronisation, where we receive 90 days of history, and also all subsequent synchronisations. It is only after we have received a number of synchronisations with additional transactions after the ‘first’ synchronisation that we have sufficient data to be sure we can generate correct CODA files.
If there are too few transactions after the first synchronisation, we cannot create accurate CODAs
