This article is for users who see the above message after importing an external UBL file (.xml). OkiOki validates these files but does not edit them; any errors must be fixed in the software that created the document.
- OkiOki creates and validates UBL files generated inside OkiOki.
- UBLs from other tools are not corrected; they must be 100 % valid when you upload them.

- Open the file in a text or XML editor and review the items under Most common causes.
- Test the file with a free Peppol validator: Ecosio (select rule set “OpenPeppol UBL Invoice (2024-11) – BIS Billing 3.0.18”), B2BRouter, or Helger.
- Note the error message or download the validator report.
In 95 % of cases, the report points to the exact line you need to fix.
