When your OkiOki subscription is suspended, we do not immediately remove your Peppol registration. Instead, a grace period applies. In this article, we explain what "suspended" means, how long your Peppol registration is retained, and what notifications you can expect.
- What does "suspended" mean?
- Peppol deregistration after 2 weeks of suspension?
- Email notification upon Peppol deregistration?
- What about trial subscriptions?
- Can I reactivate my subscription and Peppol registration?
1. What does "suspended" mean?
A subscription can receive the status Suspended for various reasons, for example:
Payment failed and was not resolved in time
Your accountant has removed you from their OkiOki environment
Other account-related issues requiring a pause of your subscription
When your subscription has the status Suspended:
You are no longer considered an active OkiOki user
Some features may be limited depending on the reason for suspension
You are still temporarily registered on Peppol (see below), except in special trial cases
Note: If your subscription is suspended because your trial period has ended, a separate procedure applies (see section 4).
2. Peppol deregistration after 2 weeks of suspension
To keep Peppol registrations clean and avoid inactive endpoints, OkiOki will deregister suspended subscriptions from Peppol after 2 weeks.
Conditions for Peppol deregistration
Each day, OkiOki runs a background task that looks for subscriptions that:
Have the status Suspended, and
Have been in that status for at least 14 days, and
Have a non-empty Peppol registration attempt, and
Have been active at least once in the past.
If all these conditions are met, OkiOki will:
Deregister the subscription from Peppol
Send you an email notification about the deregistration (see next section)
3. Email notification upon Peppol deregistration
When you are deregistered from Peppol because your subscription has been suspended for more than 2 weeks, OkiOki will send you an email notification.
The email explains that:
Your subscription is suspended
You have been deregistered from Peppol
What you can do if you want to reactivate your account (for example, update payment details or contact support)
4. What about trial subscriptions?
Trial subscriptions follow a different procedure:
When a trial period ends, the subscription is immediately placed in a suspended state after the trial period ends.
-
Users in this state are:
Immediately deregistered from Peppol (no 2-week grace period), and
Included in a trial period end email campaign managed in ActiveCampaign.
Due to this separate campaign and immediate Peppol cleanup, users in a suspended trial period are not part of the 2-week suspension procedure described in this article.
5. Can I reactivate my subscription and Peppol registration?
Yes. The exact steps depend on the reason you were suspended:
-
Payment issues
Update your payment method in OkiOki.
Once your subscription is active again, the Peppol registration can be reset as part of the normal activation procedure.
-
Removed by accountant / changes in who pays
If your accountant has stopped paying for your subscription, you may need to enter your own payment details and/or accept a new subscription arrangement.
After successful activation, the Peppol registration can be reset.
If you are unsure why you were suspended, or if you believe your subscription was suspended incorrectly, please contact support via the usual support channels.
