As an accountant, you can always delete an inactive file.
How you can delete an active file depends on who pays for the subscription.
Do you, as an accountant, pay for the subscription? Then you can disconnect the file. The client will then have to request the deletion of their file from support team.
Does the client pay for their own subscription? Then you can disconnect the file and the client can cancel their own subscription.

- As an entrepreneur, have your file deleted by the support team
- As an entrepreneur, cancel your own subscription
Deleting inactive clients
Files that are not yet active can always be deleted from the list of 'Inactive clients'.
For example, if you created a client with the wrong subscription type (e.g. Smart instead of Start), you can delete the incorrect client and create it again correctly.
- Go to the list of 'Inactive clients'
- Click on the 'Delete' link behind the name of the client.
By the way, for accounts of entrepreneurs to whom you have sent a linking request, you can cancel the linking request.
Disconnecting active clients
Accounts of clients who have already started with OkiOki can only be disconnected. When disconnecting a client account, you remove the client from your Accountancy portal. During this disconnection, all links between the accounting firm and the client account are broken.
1. Go to the overview of active clients in your accountancy portal
2. Click on the client that needs to be terminated
3. Click on the 'Disconnect' button at the top right
What does disconnecting mean for the billing of the client?
- If you, as an accountant, pay for the client's subscription, the billing for this client stops immediately after disconnecting. The client's account is then 'suspended' (but not yet deleted). We will notify the customer by email, and the customer can reactivate their file themselves by adding their payment details to their account.
- If the client already, the subscription simply continues. In that case, all links between your accounting firm and the client are also broken.
As an entrepreneur, have your account deleted by the support team
As an accountant, you cannot actually delete an account yourself. For a definitive deletion, the client (who does not pay for their own subscription) must always request this from the OkiOki support team. This can easily be done by sending an email to support@okioki.be.
As an entrepreneur, cancel your own subscription
A client who pays for their own subscription keeps their account after disconnection from the firm. The client is then free to choose whether or not to continue using the account. If the client wishes to cancel the account, they must cancel the subscription via the menu:
Your account > Subscription.
