Entrepreneurs: From now on, you can easily receive self-billing invoices from your clients and add a BIC code for international payments. Invoices to EU customers also flow more smoothly via Peppol.
Accountants: In addition to OneDrive, you can now also connect a Dropbox account to receive documents. You can configure multiple cloud folders and, finally, decide per bank account which accounting software should process your CODA files by default.
🚀 Key features
🔄 Receive self-billing invoices
OkiOki now supports self-billing invoices via Peppol. They are automatically added to your administration and fully comply with legal requirements.
Always a PDF preview for e-invoices → Some e-invoices are only provided in digital format (UBL/XML), without an embedded PDF. In that case, OkiOki automatically generates a PDF preview.
Add a BIC code to invoices → You can now include a BIC code on your invoices in OkiOki. This is especially useful for international payments, where banks often require a BIC in addition to the IBAN.
🆕 New functionalities
Invoicing
Receive self-billing invoices → OkiOki now supports receiving self-billing invoices via Peppol. With self-billing, your customer issues the invoice in your name, and thanks to Peppol you receive it automatically in a legally valid digital format (UBL). OkiOki ensures these invoices are read correctly and end up seamlessly in your administration.
This is important looking ahead to 2026: from then on, self-billing invoices in PDF format will no longer be allowed. With OkiOki, you will continue to receive and process them just as you do today.
Toggle the right-hand panel in the invoice editor → In OkiOki’s invoice editor, you can now decide yourself whether the right-hand panel is visible. Turning it off gives you more space and clarity when creating invoices. Want to quickly check more details? Simply switch the panel back on. This way you can work more flexibly depending on what you need at the moment.
PDF to Peppol
Original PDF visible in the right panel during conversion → When you convert a PDF into an e-invoice (UBL), the original document now remains visible in the right panel. This allows you to compare the extracted data with the original at a glance. It saves you from opening the file separately, helps you spot errors immediately, and correct them before sending.
Improved VAT detection → When you receive an invoice via Peppol, OkiOki now automatically determines whether the amounts are VAT-inclusive or exclusive. This makes the UBL conversion smoother and reduces the need for manual checks. It also lowers the risk of mistakes and improves reliability for both you and your accountant.
Document management
Automatic PDF with e-invoices → Some e-invoices are only supplied in XML/UBL format, without a separate PDF. In that case, OkiOki automatically generates a PDF and adds it alongside the XML file. This way you always have a human-readable version of the invoice, even if the sender did not include one. It also makes it easier to view and forward invoices.
Faster archive generation → The compilation and export of archives with documents and invoices has been greatly improved. Previously, exporting large numbers of documents could sometimes fail. OkiOki now makes this process much more stable and faster, so you can export and consult your full administration without interruption.
Simplified e-mail connection → When connecting your mailbox, for some less common e-mail providers, OkiOki now loads the required settings automatically. You no longer need to fill in as much manually, and you can establish a correct connection faster. This makes configuration easier regardless of your provider.
Accountancy portal
Multiple storage connections per cloud service → You can connect multiple OneDrive or Dropbox folders through the accountant portal settings, which is useful if you work with different accounting packages or client structures.
Select accounting software per bank account → You can now choose, per bank account, which accounting software should process your CODA files. This ensures the transfer is handled correctly.
Automatic PDF with e-invoices → Some e-invoices are only provided in XML/UBL format, without a separate PDF. OkiOki automatically generates a PDF in that case and adds it to the file. This way, accountants always have a readable version of the invoice alongside the digital file, making verification and processing easier.
OkiOki is working on the ability to generate payment files directly. This will let you pay invoices faster and more accurately, in bulk, through your bank. This functionality is still in an early test phase (ALPHA). Curious or want a sneak preview? Send us an e-mail at support@okioki.be. We’ll be happy to show you what’s coming next.
